This home was a true diamond in the rough. We started with an 1895 Victorian home that needed a lot of love. It had a floor plan that didn’t quite make sense and had been altered by previous owners to accommodate a more modern way of living. However, these homes were not originally designed to have an open floor plan so the execution of one felt disjointed. We improved the flow of the home, closed off spaces to create an entryway, moved the powder room door, created a mudroom and laundry space, added an eating space in the new kitchen, and added a primary ensuite bathroom. The result was a home that felt truer to it’s original design while still maintaining modern day functionality.
